Strengthening surgical care in the shadows of WWII

The Solomon Islands Living Memorial Project is a medical and surgical education partnership between US and Australian health specialists and the doctors and nurses of the Solomon Islands in order to improve the delivery of health care in Solomon Islands.

SILMP recognizes the
sacrifices made and bonds forged between Allied service men and the Solomon Islands people during WWII. Our
program supports sustainable healthcare improvements in Solomon Islands through regular
outreach and continuing medical education visits. We deliver the support our peers in Solomon Islands feel they need in order to improve the delivery of health care to their own people.
